Denise TumblinI grew up on a farm, where I learned the value of a strong work ethic, the importance of family and friends and collaboration to get work done, awe for the beauty of Mother Nature, and a deep and abiding love and respect for animals.
I have been blessed to find a career that gives me the opportunity to work with professionals who ensure the health and well-being of the animals so dear to me. As a veterinary practice consultant, I love helping practice owners identify their challenges and opportunities and create a plan to achieve their goals. It’s a privilege, and it gives me the satisfaction of knowing I’m helping the entire veterinary team and the patients they serve.
I’m a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, VetPartners, American Animal Hospital Association, Veterinary Hospital Managers’ Association and Capital Area Humane Society. I’ve served on the Advisory Board of Vetted and the VetPartners Board of Directors, Valuation Council, Career Development SIG, and Digital Committee and previously served on the Veterinary Team Brief Advisory Board.
I live in the city now, yet I continue to love the outdoors and share my home with furry family members, who remind me every day why I do what I do.

Learn How the Veterinary Practice Consultants of WTA Veterinary Consultants Can HelpCPA, Owner And PresidentCynthia WutchiettI grew up in Euclid, Ohio, one of the new 1950s suburbs that was sprouting up all over the country. My parents taught me the value of hard work at a young age, which fueled all of my future career decisions after that. My mother was a secretary for the Euclid Board of Education, and my father worked in a dairy. I graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in accounting, with a minor in mathematics and economics. After getting my certification as a Certified Public Accountant, I joined a national firm and later started my own practice so I could help clients make better business decisions.
When I began working with veterinarians, I started reading “Veterinary Economics,” a magazine that produced an annual article on business statistics for veterinary practices based on a survey of practice financial results. But I conceived a different national survey: the annual study of Well-Managed Practices, which allowed my company to survey financial statistics and management practices. It was clear to me then that better management gives veterinarians the resources to practice better medicine and to also have the resources to provide for their families.
My husband, Robin, and I moved to Colorado in 2007 and now live on 45 acres outside of Paonia. During off-work hours, I enjoy my three-days-a-week yoga class, gardening in my vegetable garden, tending my flower beds, and hiking the hills and mountains of western Colorado with my husband.

Learn How the Veterinary Practice Consultants of WTA Veterinary Consultants Can HelpCPA, Founder of Wellmp® Management GroupsSara ShultsMy love of agriculture and animals developed at a young age while growing up on my family’s 40-acre farm. Being a member of the Ohio 4-H program helped enhance my love of animals and increased my opportunity to learn about the veterinary industry. Throughout high school and college, I worked as a veterinary assistant at a small-animal practice. My love of the veterinary industry increased while helping the many patients that walked through the veterinary clinic’s doors.
In college, I was able to unite my interest of agriculture and journalism to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural communication. Adjusting to city life after moving away from my family’s farm is an on-going process. However, I still visit the farm on the weekends to enjoy nature. Always be sure to ask me what book I’m reading or what new flower I’m growing as these things bring me the most joy in my spare time.
I always look forward to assisting clients as they take the next steps to meet their goals.

Learn How the Veterinary Practice Consultants of WTA Veterinary Consultants Can HelpAdministrative AssistantMary Lou PaolettiMy family relocated from the suburbs of Columbus to a small horse farm during my grade school years. Over the years we raised dachshunds, harness horses, a wide variety of market animals, and even canaries. Responsibility, education, and charitable service were core values modeled by parents and extended family. I believe in life-long learning, not just in the classroom, but from our own experiences and the guidance and experiences shared from mentors and others in our lives.
It has been so fulfilling to work with our clients over the years to share the collective knowledge gained from our varied business backgrounds to help them achieve even more success in their practices and their lives.
I no longer live on the farms on which I was raised, but my husband and I continue to love the land, both nearby when we bike and hike, and the beautiful countryside seen during our travels to visit children and our vacation home.
